Our Career Scholarship

Capac Classmates Promoting Future Adults Career Scholarship is funded by the annual Weapons of Grass Destruction Charity Golf Scramble. The scholarship will be awarded to "The Most Improved" as defined by the student. We seek to offer scholarships to students who have made a great effort to improve themselves or their situations and who have the character to help grow a strong community.

What makes our scholarship exciting and different is that students of any academic level can achieve it. Funds can be used for “college, university, trade school, certification program, or business that enriches the community.

Scholarship Criteria

The scholarship will be awarded to the student who is “most improved”. A strong emphasis is placed on character and community mindedness.  “Most Improved” is defined by the student. This scholarship is not necessarily based on grades, or sports per se, but rather the student will describe in what area they strive to be most improved.  Supporting documentation may be requested.

Candidates should be a Senior in the Capac High School System or a Qualifying Home-Schooled Student who resides in the Capac School District.

  • A Senior is defined as a student enrolled as a senior including those enrolled in “Middle College”, Remote Learning Programs, The Tech Center or other equivalent program not currently known to the Committee, but which may be considered “Qualified” by a vote of the Committee, Interview Panel or the Board of Capac Classmates Promoting Future Adults if required by the Board as may be necessary in the future.

  • A Qualifying Home-Schooled Student is defined as a student of High School age who has completed their Home-School curriculum to the level of completion. These students will be required to show proof of acceptance to a college or Certification Program or other appropriate proof of “Senior Equivalency” as deemed appropriate by the Scholarship Interview Panel, The Scholarship Committee or Board of Capac Classmates Promoting Future Adults Career Scholarship Board as necessary.
